Co-Packing refers to the process of outsourcing the packaging of your manufactured goods to a specialized company that will package your products into their final selling form. This allows small manufacturers to focus on their core competencies, save money on packaging equipment, labor, and logistics, and ultimately sell their products in high-quality packaging.

The outsourcing of part of the manufacturing process of the full production process of a product to a third party. More specifically, contract manufacturing is an outsourcing of certain production activities that were previously performed by the manufacturer to a third party.

A technology known as the individually quick-frozen (IQF) method. IQF is a method that does not allow large ice crystals to form in vegetable cells. Repackaging is a type of value-added service that takes place whenever a change or reconfiguration is made to a product.

A method of packaging that removes air from the package prior to sealing. This method involves placing items in a plastic film package, removing air from inside, and sealing the package. It is sometimes used to have a tight fit to the contents. The intent of vacuum packing is usually to remove oxygen from the container to extend the shelf life of foods.

Co-Packer is short for contract packer. Co-manufacturer is short for contract manufacturer. Both terms refer to a facility that either manufactures your product line or receives your finished product in bulk and packages it for you.
